| Gum Till Do Cheum, As Gach Cearn, Fo Rionnag-iuil an Dachaidh! (May your steps return from all corners of the globe under the guidance of the star, that points to home!)
Breo-Saighit--Breed--Brihit--Saint Bridget Fiery Arrow--Flame of Erin You are known by many names~ Goddess of Poetry and Inspiration! I call to You this day!
Give to me Your poetry. Help me to see that I contain the verse of wisdom; that I have a story to tell.
I hold up the tool of the writer, the first of its type, the mighty wand of magickal poetry. From the winged-one comes Your wand, Breede.
I praise the gentle beings who rejoice in the air, demonstrating the unencumbered passage of the written word. They sing and call to me:
"From the breath of Breed, Her inspiration sails through the heavens, lifeted by the power of our wings. To the earth Her verse is grounded, through the quills we give way to you. Onto the page the verse does manifest, by you, daughter of Breo-Saighit!"
I call to You, Breed, to bless my modern wands of pen or pencil--and keyboard, to carry forth in the tradition of the poet and writer Your inspiration.
And though I no longer dip my quill into the symbolic womb of Your mighty dispensation to draw forth from the well the substance required to spread the word across the page
I grasp the magickal wand of pen or pencil--or keyboard in which is already contained the artery of many-colored blood As if drawing from my own veins Your inspiration already embeded in my heart.
Brigid, most excellent goddess, sudden Flame of Inspiration, may Your bright flame guide me into everlasting communion through usage of the written word!
Brigid, most knowledgeable One, Flames of Wisdom, May Your soul shine bright, give me permission to keep Our religion alive!
